Because they are unique to the companion, they cannot be placed in the deck unless that companion is also in the deck. These are cards unique to a given Companion. In several cases, the player will be gifted with non-specific forms of these cards after being their respective challenge, which the player can then add to their deck. Since these cards are added by the Dealer, they will usually (with a few exceptions) be identified by their having the Dealer's Mark in their upper right corner, a yellow stripe with black Corruption spots. Other Challenge-specific cards simply act as transitions between one map and another, while others simply act as placeholders on the map. While never containing Shards, a small number of these cards possess Tokens. Most of the time, these cards will represent events inside the story of a given challenge, and must be overcome by the player like normal encounters. These are cards which are usually only found inside of a given challenge, either the twenty-two of the game's Campaign section, DLC challenges, those created via the Game Master's Toolkit by other players, or Endless Mode.
